Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty required. 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience preferred. License: Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license required. Certifications: American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required. Must-Have: Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment to be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required. Description: This position is for a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse. The role involves caring for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. Nurses will have the potential to float to different units as needed to care for the same patient population. The shifts are rotational between days and nights, requiring flexibility. Shifts may be subject to change based on the operational needs of the facility. The candidate must have a minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for. Experience should ideally be from a single location but can also be from multiple locations. Recent travel experience in the specialty will also be accepted. The successful candidate will be required to work holidays. Adherence to all licensing and certification requirements is mandatory. Background checks will be conducted, and open cases will not be accepted. All required certifications must be active and up to date without any pending issues. Negative drug screening for nicotine is required for travelers who are not nurses or CSTs.
