Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for required. - 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience is required. License: - Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand at the time of submission. Certifications: - BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Must work at least every other holiday. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate tests will be completed during orientation with acceptable scores required. Description: This position is for a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse. The role involves the potential to float to various units to care for the same patient population. Shifts may be variable, and the facility will do its best to honor traveler preferences but may adjust as necessary to meet operational needs. Candidates must have 18 months of combined experience in the specialty applying for, preferably within one location. Travel experience is acceptable. References are required from a manager or supervisor in the relevant specialty. All required certifications must be active with no pending items. Background checks of any kind will be reviewed, and no candidates with open cases will be accepted. All travelers must be nicotine-free, with drug screens required within the last 12 months. Candidates who have previously worked in the facility cannot return for one year from their previous end date. Extended contracts are possible, with provisions for breaks between assignments. Modules are required and are estimated to take an average of 6-15 hours, with some being billable.
