Senior Bookkeeper

Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN (Fully Onsite) Compensation: $70,000-$85,000 Temp to hire Industry: Manufacturing Overview We are a small but established manufacturing company (~$10M in revenue) seeking a Lead Bookkeeper to serve as our sole accounting professional . This is a hands‑on role where you will own the full accounting function and wear multiple hats day‑to‑day. Why This Role Opportunity to be the go‑to accounting leader Direct impact on helping the company scale beyond its current plateau High visibility with ownership and leadership Autonomy in managing the accounting function Key Responsibilities Full‑cycle accounting oversight (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations) Month‑end and year‑end close Payroll processing for ~20 employees (ADP) Financial reporting and analysis for ownership Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision‑making Maintain and improve accounting processes and controls Work cross‑functionally with operations in a manufacturing environment Handle both strategic (controller‑level) and transactional (day‑to‑day bookkeeping) responsibilities What We’re Looking For Experience as a sole accountant or in a small company environment Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills Comfortable wearing multiple hats and handling both high‑and‑low‑level work Experience in manufacturing accounting is a plus Familiarity with Sage 50 or similar accounting systems Stable work history and ability to take ownership Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
