Description

• Assess clients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tests and observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans that target immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing outcomes.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanisms.
• Engage in collaborative care alongside various professionals like physical therapists and caregivers, ensuring holistic strategies for patient care.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress outside therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to provide comprehensive care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, following established state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to staying informed with the latest advancements in your field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
