- Assess clients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tests and observational insights.
- Create individualized treatment plans that target immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing outcomes.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanisms.
- Engage in collaborative care alongside various professionals like physical therapists and caregivers, ensuring holistic strategies for patient care.
- Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress outside therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to provide comprehensive care.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, following established state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Commit to staying informed with the latest advancements in your field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in evidence-based therapy techniques suitable for all ages, encompassing developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Strong communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Versatility in adapting therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
