Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and interviews to assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the initial consultation through the entire treatment process.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and recovery strategies for clients, tailoring interventions that address their unique challenges and goals.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment where clients can share their experiences and work toward recovery.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, ensuring treatment approaches remain effective and aligned with best practices.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and medical doctors, to create comprehensive intervention strategies for clients requiring multidisciplinary care.

• Provide referrals to additional resources or specialists when necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to each client’s recovery.

• Educate family members and primary caregivers on how to support their loved one’s mental health journey, promoting understanding and encouraging a supportive environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position centers on serving a diverse population, including individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your efforts will play a crucial role in guiding clients from various backgrounds toward recovery, emphasizing culturally competent care and inclusivity in therapeutic practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Competence with electronic health record systems, with preference for familiarity with AVATAR.
\n
• Strong experience in individual and group therapy settings, with a solid understanding of mental health disorders and related physical conditions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor in a comparable setting is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of current trends in psychotherapeutic interventions and best practices identified by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
