Job Description: - Unit Specifics: - Number of Beds: 36 - Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5 - Unit Staffing: Secretary every day, PRN techs available - Equipment: PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps - Documentation System: Meditech - Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block - Floating Policy: Will float over core staff - Patient Experience: Emphasis on bedside shift report, safety checks every 1-2 hours, focus on communication and responsiveness - Qualifications: - Must possess BLS, NIHSS certifications - Ability to perform basic patient assessments and maintenance for: - Wounds - Tracheostomy - Ostomy - Drains - Chest Tubes - Strokes - Seizures - Experience with dialysis or PCA pumps is a plus; only Heparin drip is administered - Familiarity with post-op procedures such as amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs - Dress Code: - Scrubs in navy, blue, white, black, gray, or ceil blue - Unit Guidelines/Policies: - HAI prevention with CVC and Foley monitoring - Fall prevention strategies - 100% Medication Scanning, including controlled substances - Adherence to attendance policy - Team Culture: - Collaborate with a youthful team eager to enhance patient outcomes - Charges are supportive and experienced, providing a smooth introduction to our unit - All candidates treated as core staff with accountability and recognition for exemplary work Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
