SQL Database Administrator

The DBA should have expertise in AOAG (Always On Availability Groups) and transactional replication. The person should have experience supporting a 24/5/365 application and environment. Key Responsibilities Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances and related tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS . Performance Tuning: Monitor system health and optimize database performance through index management, query tuning, and addressing CPU or I/O bottlenecks. Security Management: Implement role-based security, manage user permissions, and ensure data encryption at rest and in transit. Backup & Recovery: Develop and test comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies, including Always On Availability Groups and Log Shipping. Automation: Author and maintain scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell) to automate repetitive maintenance tasks and regular health checks. Support & Collaboration: Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical outages and collaborate with developers on schema refinement and database design. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in T-SQL and database administration tools. Hands-on experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options. Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Active Directory. Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure SQL or AWS RDS is highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr R3 Technology
