Lead a Premier Steakhouse in the Beautiful Florida Keys

Flagler Station Steakhouse , part of the Whale Harbor Group Restaurants , is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. This is an opportunity for a passionate, innovative, and highly skilled chef to make a lasting impact at one of the Florida Keys' premier dining destinations.

We are looking for a chef who is committed to culinary excellence, disciplined kitchen operations, and developing a team that consistently delivers an outstanding guest experience.

• Lead all daily kitchen operations with a hands-on leadership style.
• Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing culinary team.
• Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Create seasonal features and innovative specials while preserving the restaurant's steakhouse identity.
• Manage food costs, labor costs, purchasing, and inventory to meet financial goals.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation, food safety, and health department standards.
• Oversee scheduling, hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Build strong relationships with vendors and maintain product quality.
• Maintain recipe consistency, portion control, and kitchen organization.
• Work closely with the Director of Operations and ownership to continually improve the guest experience and restaurant profitability.

• Minimum 5 years of Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef experience in an upscale, full-service restaurant or steakhouse.
• Strong background in premium steaks, seafood, sauces, and classic culinary techniques.
• Proven success managing food cost, labor, inventory, and kitchen profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience developing kitchen systems, SOPs, recipes, and training programs.
• Ability to lead calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Culinary degree is preferred but not required with equivalent experience.

• Fine dining or upscale steakhouse experience.
• Dry-aging, butchery, and premium beef knowledge.
• Wine and food pairing knowledge.
• Experience with inventory and recipe costing systems.
• Multi-unit or luxury hospitality experience is a plus.
