Job Description

Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Welder to join a growing team in Gulfport, MS! This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder with experience working in a marine, industrial, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environment.


We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of safety and quality, and can work effectively as part of a team.

What You'll Do

• Perform welding and fabrication work on metal components and structures
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools
• Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding as required
• Weld various types and thicknesses of metal
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy
• Grind, cut, fit, and prepare metal prior to welding
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and repair projects
• Measure and align materials to ensure proper fit and specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Work safely around heavy equipment, tools, and materials
• Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Previous professional welding experience preferred
• Experience in marine, shipyard, industrial, structural, or heavy fabrication is a plus
• Ability to perform quality welds with attention to detail
• Familiarity with welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication tools
• Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Safety-focused mindset
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
