Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician

Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician

*Must be ASCP certified*

Currently looking for an ASCP Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician with at least one year of hospital experience to fill an opening with a Hospital facility located outside of Seneca, Oregon. Interested candidates should be able to perform a variety of laboratory procedures to examine and analyze body fluids, tissues, and cells.

Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician

Collect specimens and distribute them to the proper unit in the lab or hospital, or reference lab
Perform lab tests, distribute results, and maintain documentation of tests
Maintain adequate documentation of control procedures to ensure the accuracy of reports

Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician

Broad knowledge of standard chemical, microscopic bacteriological, and serological procedures, modern laboratory principles and techniques and their application in clinical analysis, and appropriate equipment procedures and maintenance
Completion of an Associates degree in medical laboratory
One (1) year experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above duties
