Work Environment\n

This role is conducted in a fully remote setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while ensuring that the chosen candidate can effectively serve clients in a variety of environments. As part of an outpatient office, the therapist will engage with clients primarily through teletherapy platforms, helping to remove barriers to access and delivering care in a manner that fits their lives.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews to develop customized treatment plans that reflect each client’s individual needs and therapeutic goals.

• Provide high-quality individual therapy sessions, couple’s counseling, and family therapy, employing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and other relevant interventions.

• Document all client interactions, including progress notes and treatment modifications, in compliance with HIPAA standards and organizational policies, through our secure electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals—including psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and psychiatrists—to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for clients.

• Participate in regular clinical supervision meetings, training sessions, and opportunities for professional development to enhance your skills and adapt to emerging best practices in the field.

• Stay updated on current research and therapeutic trends relevant to marriage and family therapy, applying new knowledge to improve treatment methodologies and enhance client outcomes.

• Uphold ethical standards and ensure confidentiality is maintained according to legal and organizational regulations, fostering a safe space for clients to explore sensitive issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Peaceful Perspective, you will work with a diverse population that includes individuals from various backgrounds, couples facing relationship challenges, and families navigating complex dynamics. Your role will focus on addressing issues such as communication breakdowns, mental health disorders, substance abuse, and family transitions. Qualifications\n

• A valid LMFT license in the state of New York is required for this position.
