In this role, you will deliver vital mental health services to clients suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while ensuring that our clients receive the high-quality care they deserve. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to continuous improvement, integration of care, and shared professional growth. Your work schedule will consist of Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allowing for a balanced approach to work and life commitments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, taking into account their individual needs, aspirations, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Monitor and document client progress thoroughly while adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving needs.
\n
• Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
\n
• Stay updated on the latest research and treatment advancements for mood disorders to continually enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to legal and ethical standards in all documentation and interactions.

• Engage in peer supervision, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities to foster your skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and ensuring their voices and needs are recognized and supported.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve individuals dealing with mood disorders, many of whom may be facing significant life challenges, including but not limited to, those from underserved communities, victims of domestic abuse, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Your ability to connect, empathize, and create a safe space for these clients will be crucial in helping them navigate their recovery journey and achieve lasting wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.

• A strong capacity for empathy, a non-judgmental approach, and the ability to address clients’ diverse experiences with sensitivity.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to balance client caseloads and administrative responsibilities effectively.

• A background in working with marginalized populations or specific populations such as refugees, homeless individuals, or survivors of trauma.
