Position Overview

• Client is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its Charleston, SC team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, with strong hands-on experience supporting commercial real estate transactions, closings, title, and survey review.

• Working under the direction of an attorney, the paralegal will provide comprehensive transactional support, prepare and organize closing documentation, review title and survey materials, and assist with various commercial real estate agreements and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with commercial real estate closings and transactions.
• Review and analyze title commitments, title reports, and surveys.
• Prepare and organize closing documents and transaction files.
• Review and revise lease amendments, non-disturbance agreements, and other commercial real estate documents.
• Assist with due diligence and coordinate documentation required for real estate transactions.
• Organize, maintain, and update legal and transaction files.
• Communicate with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions.
• Provide general administrative and paralegal support to the commercial real estate practice.
• Ensure documents and files are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience.
• Strong experience supporting commercial real estate transactions and closings.
• Hands-on experience with title and survey review.
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate documentation and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Professional, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Experience working in a law firm environment.
• Extensive experience with commercial real estate closings, title, surveys, leases, and transactional documentation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $70,000 $85,000 annually, based on experience.
• Excellent benefits package.
• Full-time, direct-hire opportunity.

• The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal who can independently support attorneys throughout the commercial real estate transaction lifecycle, particularly with closings, title, surveys, leases, and transaction documentation.
