Real Estate Legal Assistant

Our client is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant for their Commercial Real Estate practice group. Responsibilities: Assist closing paralegals and attorneys as needed in all phases of a busy commercial real estate practice, including proper file indexing of documents and emails Order title work, payoffs, zoning letters, tax bills, and any other documentation needed for closings Preparation of engagement letters and conflict waivers Opening of new files Scheduling with clients, sellers, agents, lenders and vendors to process closings Prepare closing documents for execution Prepare post-closing transcripts Process executed closing documents Obtain and record mortgage satisfactions Other administrative tasks for the real estate team (including billing, processing invoices and reminder statements) Qualifications: 3+ years of legal support experience Associates degree or Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred Experience in a closing attorney's firm required preferred Title insurance knowledge Experience with SoftPro preferred Compensation: Annual salary of $55,000-$65,000 based on experience.
