Staff Accountant IThe Staff Accountant I supports key financial functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, SOX compliance, audit support, and financial reporting.The Corporate Staff Accountant is a member of the corporate finance team responsible for month-end close, financial consolidations, reporting, and master data support. This role partners with accounting, FP&A, and business leaders while contributing to finance-related projects and business initiatives.Major Responsibilities:Monthly Close ResponsibilitiesReview subsidiary financial submissions for completeness and accuracyPublish monthly foreign exchange ratesSupport account mapping within the consolidation systemPrepare consolidation entries, reconciliations, and intercompany reportsGenerate and validate consolidated financial statementsCompile and publish the monthly financial reporting packageParticipate in subsidiary financial review meetingsQuarterly/Annual ResponsibilitiesSupport 10-Q and 10-K filing activities, as neededEnsure completion of variance analyses, close tasks, and reconciliationsMaintain the annual financial close calendarManage the statutory audit trackerAssist with audit and review requestsOther Miscellaneous DutiesDevelop proficiency in OneStreamSupport BEA reporting requirementsAssist with acquired company financial integrationsSupport internal control and policy compliance initiativesManage intercompany funding and cross-charge processesAssist with account reconciliation compliance and lease auditsSupport inventory count procedure reviews across subsidiariesAssist with global finance training programs and annual finance conference coordinationPerform ad hoc analyses and special projects as neededMinimum Job Requirements:Education / Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered1+ year of accounting experience or relevant internship experienceKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to work independently and cross-functionallyKnowledge of SOX, US GAAP, and IFRSPreferred Job Requirements:Certification / LicenseProgress toward CPA certification and/or MBA preferredKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesExperience in a global manufacturing environment preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
