CNC Machinist

We are an established precision machine shop with over 50 years of industry experience. We specialize in custom precision machining, short-run manufacturing, prototyping, and high-volume production for a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC milling and turning equipment, work with a diverse range of metals and materials, and maintain strict quality control to deliver high-precision components on time.

salary: $62,400 - $83,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills and lathes to execute precision machining processes according to engineering drawings and technical specs.

• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators to ensure adherence to tight tolerances and continuous quality standards.

• Multi-Material Handling: Select, prepare, and machine various materials (aluminum, stainless steel, brass, plastics, specialty alloys, sheet metal).

• Setup & Adjustments: Perform tool changes, upload/edit CNC programs at the machine controller, and make necessary offsets/adjustments to maintain accuracy.

• Process Execution: Work efficiently across diverse job types—including one-off prototypes, short runs, and ongoing production batches.

• Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily machine maintenance, fluid checks, and chip removal while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
