Strategic Accounts Inside Sales

STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE FCX Performance is an Applied Industrial Technologies Company and a leading process flow control company. As a Strategic Accounts Inside Sales Representative with FCX Performance, you will establish and expand relationships with current customers and our outside sales team. You’ll spend your time interacting with your customers in determining their process flow control and instrumentation needs, while providing solutions to meet those needs. You will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention and sales results! Benefits Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits (401K with company match, insurance, time off, employee assistance, tuition reimbursement, etc.) A career path in sales, management, and operations throughout the country Professional development and training Team‑oriented culture that blends work and fun Essential Functions & Responsibilities Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders and suggesting additional products in a fast‑paced multi‑tasking environment. Maintain responsibility of orders from quotation to collection: Select and specify a variety of products using FCX and vendor‑supplied tools/software. Respond to customer inquiries. Process customer orders, send acknowledgements, review purchase orders for special conditions/documentation, check availability and verify ship dates. Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer buying history. Process and expedite orders, customer returns and returns to vendors accurately and timely; locate product, create purchase orders, follow‑up with vendors to ensure delivery. Negotiate pricing and delivery with vendors when necessary. Work closely with Outside Sales to solicit business, execute transactions and maintain superior customer service levels. Communicate effectively and participate positively as a member of the Branch/Division inside sales team (e.g., sharing workload, picking incoming calls). Maximize gross margin by ensuring that FCX gets paid for superior service, problem solving and technical expertise. Review open customer order reports and take action on items at risk of missing promised delivery dates. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Flexibly schedule to accommodate West Coast customer needs. Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 3+ years of customer service experience in a related industry; experience as an inside technical sales/customer service role is a plus.
