Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred under physician orders, assessing mobility limitations and developing individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific needs.
• Implement these treatment plans through direct patient care techniques, incorporating therapeutic exercises and education to promote progress.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and training to Physical Therapy Assistants and rehabilitation aides, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding patient progress and billing, consistently adhering to departmental and facility guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute insights on patient care and rehabilitation strategies, fostering a collaborative approach to treatment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending educational workshops and training sessions, enhancing your skills and knowledge within the field.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA and facility policies regarding patient information security.
• Engage with patients and their families during meetings, addressing concerns and explaining treatment modalities to support patient engagement and understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse population of patients experiencing a range of conditions that demand tailored rehabilitation strategies. Qualifications

• Current Florida State License as a Physical Therapist.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Florida Driver's License, along with registration and auto insurance.
• Current CPR certification, physical, and PPD results.
• Strong organizational and communication skills essential for effective patient interaction and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a practicing Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting is highly advantageous.
