Key Responsibilities

• Make independent clinical decisions when necessary to optimize patient recovery and treatment outcomes.
• Understand and apply current legal, regulatory, and procedural guidelines within the physical therapy field to ensure compliance and quality care.
• Implement and interpret department goals, policies, and procedures, fostering a cohesive and effective practice environment.
• Perform all tasks proficiently in competency areas, including but not limited to patient rights, safety measures, and sanitation protocols.
• Maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders to enhance collaborative care efforts.
• Ensure confidentiality and protection of all patient and organizational information, following established protocols stringently.
• Adhere to company policies, particularly regarding compliance, ethics, and conduct, actively participating in relevant training initiatives.
• Engage in community health projects and initiatives that align with the mission and vision of Easy Start Therapy.
• Utilize software tools, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel, for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
• Act as a liaison with patients and their families to effectively plan and meet therapeutic needs as they evolve.
• Exhibit strong body mechanics and safety practices during all therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, with a special emphasis on spine care. You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Building strong, trusting relationships with patients will be crucial as you guide them through their rehabilitation journeys towards improved mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT), with a focus on advanced credentials for individuals who graduated in 2003 or later.
• Must hold current registration and licensure in the state of Florida, maintaining an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• CPR certification is required upon hire or at orientation, and must remain current during employment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, particularly with a spinal focus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
• Experience in community outreach or participation in health projects is a plus.
