Director Role About the Job: We are looking for someone to fill a hybrid business leader/team player role. This role relies on strong business acumen, leadership capabilities, long-term vision, and ability to work in restaurant operations. The Director Role is responsible first for growing the results of the business. A major portion of time will be spent identifying operational opportunities, creating clear & simple plans to change behaviors, and working alongside of the team to grow their performance. Directors also challenge the shift leaders to develop them further and hold them accountable to follow the Chick‑fil‑A values. Desired Outcomes of the Role To continually develop trainers, team leaders, and shift leaders for the future. To align yourself with the values and culture of Chick‑fil‑A and uphold that at all times. To have a vision of excellence for your area of responsibility, identify gaps and obstacles to fulfilling that vision, and see it through with the team. To continually improve the business results pertinent to your area of responsibility. Competencies / Job responsibilities Financial Literacy/Business Acumen (Profit, Food Cost, Labor Cost, Financial Return/ROI) Analytical Aptitude Ability to identify a vision for business results, build a plan, and see it through Ability to manage, grow, and develop teams Skilled in restaurant Operations (willing to learn if not currently skilled) Resilience Problem‑Solving and Intuition Self‑managed Open to feedback Good team player Driven Adaptive to Change Professional Time management Expectations / Requirements Leadership/Management Experience Work 40+ hours a week with availability on Saturdays; Sundays off Be trained and willing to work alongside the team in operations Be an expert of the Chick‑fil‑A Brand Good people & customer relationship skills Preferred: College degree in Business or Finance Must be 18 years or older Ability to manage and work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, clean, customer focused environment Must be able to lead by example through hard work, position proficiency, and daily service Must complete the 150‑day training plan for outside leadership candidates Mindsets Growth‑oriented – the applicant should be driven to see the business grow and change. This is not just a management role to oversee what has been made; it is an entrepreneurial role to grow your specific area of responsibility Results‑Driven – the applicant should be motivated to get measurable results that impact the business reports. Operations Conscious – the Director must understand the relationship between working on the business and working in the business. The director role is not all hypothetical and sitting in an office – there is a lot of time that is spent with the team owning results and helping them grow. Customer Focused – we want to provide a great experience for everyone who comes in contact with Chick‑fil‑A. Desire to serve – our leaders must be examples to the team that are willing to work wherever and whenever. They are willing to get their hands dirty. Chick‑fil‑A thrives because we are committed to serving each other and every guest every day. Stewardship – the applicant should understand the importance of caring for the resources that are entrusted into their care. We want to manage the results and resources with excellence.
