Production Team Lead

Interview & Shift Interview: Onsite Interview Shift: Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm to 2:00 am Manufacturing experience is required for this role. Previous experience operating a forklift and reading measurements is essential. OC Job Title Machine Operator Line Lead Brief Description The line lead is responsible for all duties necessary to achieve and sustain the safety, performance and quality expectations for the designated manufacturing area. This includes directing, coaching, and training employees in his or her manufacturing area. Main Responsibilities Supplies all materials to machines Coordinates and schedules production in the most efficient sequence to support customer demand Accurate production, scrap and bin movement entries in Masterpack Coordinates all line changeovers Conducts first piece inspections Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials Follows work instructions and pays attention to details Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production Meets quality standards for the line Follows work practices in accordance with OSHA standards Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S requirements, rules and regulations Must be able to work required overtime as needed Works with members of leadership and quality to solve issues Other duties may be assigned as needed Position Requirements Education High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Experience Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Able to read and write in English preferred but not required. Basic math skills with ability to perform basic calculations, knowledge of fractions and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality. Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format. Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change. Good hand/eye coordination. Language Ability to understand English preferred but not required. Expected Behaviors Self-motivated. Flexibility. Position is hands on requires manufacturing floor mobility. Work well with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Physical Requirements Must be able to read and write. Frequently required to stand, walk, perform repetitive motions, reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, talk, and hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs sometimes without assistance. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Working among moving parts, oil, grease, coolants, fumes and other airborne particulates which can become hazardous under circumstances.
