As a travel RN in a cardiovascular-focused ICU, you'll join a team committed to the highest standards of care, learn best practices from expert clinicians, and adapt to advanced technologies and diverse leadership styles. Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour days
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as scheduled
• No on-call obligations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced nursing care for critically ill CVICU patients, including those with multi-system organ failure, complex dysrhythmias, and post-cardiac surgery
• Interpret/manage cardiac rhythms and devices (Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, Swan Ganz, CRRT)
• Handle IV therapy, arterial/central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Support pre-/post-cardiac cath and intervention care
• Potentially float to other ICUs as needed
• Option for charge nurse responsibilities if experienced

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years CVICU experience
• Active Illinois RN license, current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Passing EKG test score of 80% or higher required
• Recent Epic EMR experience preferred
• Advanced skills with Impella, ECMO, LVAD highly valued
• Strong recent reference from a CVICU supervisor and up-to-date skills checklist
