Registered Nurse School Setting - Cicero, IL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) 26/27 endorsement (preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Prior experience in school or pediatric nursing strongly recommended
• Exceptional assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and parents
• Knowledge of state health regulations and protocols for school-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer direct care, including medication management and first aid for students
• Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic health needs
• Conduct health screenings and collaborate on immunization compliance
• Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families
• Maintain thorough documentation and reports in compliance with district and state requirements
• Participate in health education programs and emergency response planning within the school community
