Position Overview

We are seeking skilled healthcare professionals for a role in an acute care hospital located in the beautiful city of [City, State]. This position involves working 3x12-hour shifts during the day, from 05:00 AM to 05:00 PM. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience and be open to various scheduling arrangements.

Job Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years required.
• ACLS and BLS Certifications: Required.
• Weekend Availability: Required, with every other weekend scheduled.
• Patient Ratio: 2 patients per nurse for days, nights, and weekends.
• Floating Requirement: Candidates should be willing to float between similar units as needed.

Unit and Patient Care Details

• Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital with a total of 277 staffed beds.
• Daily Census: Approximately 20 patients in the unit.
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
• Patient Diagnoses: Cardiac, Neurological, Medical-Surgical, and Trauma.
• Additional Unit Information: Level II Trauma Center.

• Chest Tube Insertion/Removal Assistance
• Cardiovascular Care in Critical Situations
• Ventilator Management
• Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP)
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Post Cardiac Surgery Care
• Patient Management in Trauma Settings
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath Procedures

Additional Information

• Scrub Colors: Royal Blue or Navy Blue.
• Charting System: Epic.
• Orientation: A total of 40 hours is planned for orientation.
• Parking: Free parking available for all staff.
