About This Role The House Supervisor oversees clinical and leadership functions of the Medical Center in the absence of unit managers and senior leadership. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills while ensuring safe and effective patient care. Highlights Location: Edison, NJ Schedule: Per Diem, Days What You'll Do Oversee clinical and leadership functions in the absence of unit managers. Assess all departments to maintain patient flow and assure continuity of care. Report pertinent information to management and administration. Supervise staff in the delivery of patient care and serve as a clinical resource. Assume leadership position for Incident Command until qualified personnel arrive. Respond to codes and rapid responses, deploying staff and supplies as needed. Communicate unusual occurrences or complaints for follow-up and intervene as necessary. Review all patients admitted to evaluate appropriateness of admission using approved criteria. Ensure appropriate patient status to maximize patient flow. Create and maintain an environment that promotes trust, acceptance, and respect. Requirements Education Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; BSN or currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate Program required. Experience At least 5 years of recent clinical experience required. Licenses & Certifications Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
