As a Physical Therapist, you will collaborate closely with fellow therapists and physicians to maintain a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring that all aspects of your patients' rehabilitation journey are addressed.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive initial evaluations and ongoing assessments to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.Implement evidence-based therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to facilitate recovery and promote optimal functional outcomes.Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs, as well as the proper use of therapeutic devices and strategies for injury prevention.Maintain clear and accurate documentation to track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary within the established clinical guidelines.Prioritize caseload management and coordinate patient referrals and interdisciplinary collaboration for integrated care.Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in physical therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.Patient Population / Client FocusIn this role, you will provide care to both adult and pediatric patients dealing with a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-operative recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. By understanding the unique challenges faced by each patient, you will be instrumental in fostering their healing process and enhancing their overall well-being.QualificationsCandidate must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent, with a strong foundation in orthopedic physical therapy principles.State licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida is required to ensure compliance with local regulatory standards.A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a proven track record in orthopedic rehabilitation.Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing comprehensive exercise and treatment regimens tailored to patients' needs.Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to maintain detailed documentation and enhance workflow efficiency.Preferred ExperienceExperience in sports therapy or functional movement screening may be advantageous.Continuous education credits in advanced manual therapy or specialized orthopedic training are preferred.Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
