Openwork is seeking an experienced Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Coordinator for a manufacturing operation in Houston, TX 77064 . This hands-on position coordinates shipping, receiving, freight, inventory transactions, and the daily movement of materials throughout the facility.

Position at a Glance

Location: Houston, TX 77064
Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime: As needed based on business needs
Employment Type: Full-Time

What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations
• Receive and verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips
• Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
• Prepare outbound shipments, labels, and shipping documents
• Schedule and coordinate freight with carriers, brokers, suppliers, and customers
• Obtain freight quotes and coordinate LTL, truckload, parcel, and expedited shipments
• Track shipments and help resolve delivery issues
• Load and unload materials using forklifts and pallet jacks
• Complete ERP transactions for receipts, shipments, transfers, and material movement
• Issue materials to production and other departments
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory discrepancies
• Maintain an organized and safe shipping and receiving area
• Support improvements to warehouse and material-flow processes

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse, or materials-management experience in manufacturing
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience coordinating freight carriers and transportation providers
• Knowledge of LTL, truckload, parcel, and domestic freight
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory transactions; Epicor is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Forklift experience and ability to become certified
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read shipping documents, procedures, and work instructions
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Reliable and consistent attendance
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

• Non-climate-controlled manufacturing and warehouse facility
• Regular interaction with trucks, freight carriers, forklifts, and material-handling equipment
• Industrial noise; hearing conservation requirements may apply
• Regular standing, walking, bending, and physical activity
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Overtime as business needs require
