Paralegal – Insurance Defense | Civil Defence Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite) Compensation: Up to $88,000 annually (DOE) We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected law firm in Chicago that is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Insurance Defense/Civil Defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys on complex litigation matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial. Draft, review, and organize legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence. Manage case files and maintain accurate litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings. Coordinate document production and discovery responses. Review, summarize, and organize medical records, deposition transcripts, and other case-related documents. Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and other trial materials. Perform legal research and assist with case investigations as needed. Support attorneys with hearing, mediation, and trial preparation. Qualifications 3+ years of paralegal experience in Insurance Defense, Civil Defense, or general Litigation . Strong understanding of the litigation process and civil procedure. Experience preparing discovery, pleadings, and trial materials. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software. ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is a plus but not required. Why Join?
