Overview

R\West is looking for a dynamic Senior Account Executive who thrives at the interaction of culture, creativity, and communications. We’re seeking a strategic storyteller and big-picture thinker with a passion for developing fresh ideas, building brand buzz, and driving impactful media moments across fashion, accessories, lifestyle, food & beverage, beauty and financial services.

The ideal candidate brings 4-5 years of agency experience, is a proactive strategist, strong communicator, and collaborative team player — someone who brings leadership, positivity, strong organizational skills and a solutions-oriented mindset to every project, while confidently managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, the Senior Account Executive will help lead integrated PR and influencer initiatives, supporting everything from product and campaign launches, influencer engagement, ongoing product placements, events, seeding initiatives, and reporting on behalf of our clients.

Core Responsibilities

• Communications Strategy & Campaign Execution
• Contribute to the development and execution of innovative 360° communication strategies.
• Support integrated PR and influencer initiatives that drive brand visibility, cultural relevance, and business impact.
• Partner with internal and external teams to bring creative ideas to life across product launches, campaigns, partnerships, events, and brand moments.

• Pitching & Brand Storytelling
• Develop compelling pitches that secure impactful media.
• Secure strategic press coverage across print, digital, broadcast and podcasts.
• Proactively pitch and identify opportunities that enhance corporate brand narratives.
• Monitor industry trends, cultural moments, and competitor activity to inform timely storytelling angles and strategic recommendations.

• Media Relations, Events & Press Management
• Maintain, develop, and grow strong relationships with key editors across food & bev, beauty, commerce, fashion, lifestyle, marketing, trade, business and new verticals.
• Draft and distribute timely media alerts, press releases, briefing documents, and pitches for brand launches, campaigns, partnerships and events.
• Ideate, plan and execute events and experiential activations.
• Support and oversee strategic product seeding initiatives to drive organic placements and brand awareness.
• Manage and oversee media monitoring, press trackers, recap reports, and media briefings with strong attention to detail.
• Manage product send outs end-to-end, including maintaining inventory, coordinating mailings, and tracking shipments and deliveries.

• Influencer Strategy & Partnerships
• Develop and execute influencer strategies that align with broader PR campaigns and brand objectives.
• Identify, vet, and build relationships with talent, creators, and influencers across tiers (macro, micro, and emerging voices) relevant to the brand's audience and cultural positioning.
• Manage end-to-end influencer activations, including outreach, negotiation, contracting, gifting, content briefing, and deliverable tracking.
• Oversee paid and organic influencer partnerships, ensuring brand alignment, creative integrity, and FTC compliance.
• Track, measure, and report on influencer campaign performance.
• Partner with social, brand, and paid media teams to ensure influencer programs are integrated into 360° campaign moments.

• Account Management & Client Communication
• Serve as a trusted day-to-day client contact, leading client calls and status meetings with confidence, clarity, and strategic point of view.
• Present campaign strategies, creative recommendations, and results to clients in a polished and persuasive manner.
• Anticipate client needs, proactively flag opportunities and challenges, and communicate solutions effectively.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive, articulate, and professional communication across all touchpoints.

• Team Management & Organization
• Manage and mentor junior team members, helping to foster collaboration.
• Support account team in maintaining aggressive account activity.
• Ensure projects and initiatives are delivered in a timely manner and provide measurable value for clients.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Located in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut within commutable distance to R\West’s Manhattan office.
• 4+ years of professional or relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications or another relevant degree.
• Collaborative team member and an out-of-the-box thinker who can bring together people, processes, and ideas to drive results.
• Expert knowledge of the media and influencer landscape.
• Proven track record of securing top-tier coverage across digital, print and broadcast.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and superior professional email etiquette.
• Solid knowledge of the evolving media landscape, with the creativity and confidence to contribute ideas.
• Established relationships with journalists across food, finance, lifestyle, business and trade media.
• Experience monitoring social media channels and staying current on social platform trends and emerging talent.
• Comfortable working with trackers, recaps, and shared documents.
• Experience with media monitoring and events platforms such as Muck Rack and Launchmetrics; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Like most PR roles, this job will require occasional evening or weekend availability to support client events, media activations, and other time-sensitive initiatives.
