SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – Tech + Innovation (NYC)
Factory PR seeks a Senior Account Executive to join its Tech, Innovation and Design Division. This role requires an avid consumer of tech and business media, with a deep affinity and understanding of emerging markets and the tech landscape. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Founders and have a thorough understanding of thought leadership tactics, venture-backed brands, and a spectacular ability to create momentum for a brand well beyond launch. Knowledge of/interest in AI, FinTech, and/or Future of Health is a plus.
The position calls for an expert press strategist and relationship builder and reports to the SVP of Tech and Innovation in NYC. The candidate will supervise, develop, and mentor a dynamic team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Secure high-level features, podcast interviews, op-eds and more
- Contribute to the development and execution of innovative communications strategies for national and international brands
- Build out thought leadership content and programs for executives, developing pertinent talk tracks and topics
- Facilitate press tours and interviews with Founders and clients
- Maintain and develop relationships with editors across technology, business, innovation and new verticals as dictated by the evolving client roster
- Oversee and contribute to the timely distribution of briefing documents, and facilitate client media trainings where required
- Work within a team of excellent publicists and strategists, and act as a strong mentor and guide to the junior members
- Serve as the client interface for a roster of tech, innovation and design clients
- Produce high impact press materials
- Execute press activations and consumer-facing events for clients
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience working with technology companies ranging from startups to mid-level businesses
- Expert knowledge of the media landscape across tech and business in addition to mainstream lifestyle media
- Proven experience managing announcements including launches, partnerships, funding, and more
- Proven track record of securing top-tier coverage in print and online media, podcasts and broadcast
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent ability to work swiftly and independently, and alongside a dynamic team
- Strong and effective writing, communication and presentation skills
- Superior ability to articulate ideas to clients, agency principals and colleagues
- Proficient in Cision, MuckRack, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word andPowerpoint, Coveragebook and social media network
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and actively contribute to Factory’s creative and fun culture
