Pay Rate: $285k/yr. on W2 With Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for an associate to join the Labor & Employment team in our Los Angeles office. Job Responsibilities

• Represent employers and management-side clients in a broad range of labor and employment matters.
• Provide employment law counseling to management and corporate clients.
• Handle employment litigation matters from case development through resolution.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Participate in motion practice and court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions as appropriate.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare persuasive legal briefs and memoranda.
• Analyze employment-related legal issues and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Manage multiple employment matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product.
• Work closely with shareholders and senior attorneys on complex employment law matters.
• Communicate directly with clients and participate in client-facing activities.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the Labor & Employment practice.
• Maintain strong organization, communication, and time-management skills while managing competing priorities.
• Collaborate with attorneys and colleagues in a cohesive, multidisciplinary team environment.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of employment law experience on the defense/management side.
• Experience providing employment counseling through a management-side law firm.
• Strong employment litigation experience, including:
• Motion practice
• Court appearances
• Drafting and responding to discovery requests
• Legal briefing
• Depositions, preferably taking and defending depositions
• Strong legal research and brief-writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Active admission and good standing with the California Bar .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling complex employment litigation and counseling matters.
• Experience working directly with management-side clients.
• Deposition experience, including taking and defending depositions.
• Strong client-service and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in business development and developing long-term client relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively with shareholders, associates, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to take on increasing responsibility and client contact.
