When you join us as a Cost Estimator, you’ll be responsible for Developing capital cost estimates for transportation/Railroad projects. Reviewing contractor proposals for various procurement types. Reviewing and validating change orders. Interfacing with external clients in the presentation of capital costs. Maintaining organized and detailed files, project records and logs. Attending project meetings as required. Here's what you'll need Engineering Degree or equivalent. Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in transportation projects. Project experience with MTA‑LIRR. Willingness and ability to be on project site(s). Proficient use of MS Office products. Proficient use of HCSS (HeavyBid) estimating software. Ideally, you’ll also have Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field. Substantial professional years of estimating and construction experience. Salary The base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $118,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
