Assembler

Akkodis is seeking an Assembler for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA . The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in electronic assembly, soldering, wire harness assembly, and interpretation of electrical schematics within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Rate Range: $18/hour to $19/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Assembler job responsibilities include:

• Assemble and solder electronic printed circuit boards, wire harnesses, mechanical assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
• Perform wire preparation activities including measuring, cutting, stripping, tinning, crimping, and attaching terminals.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, soldering equipment, and test instruments to complete assembly operations.
• Perform continuity testing and basic electrical verification using ohmmeters and related test equipment.
• Apply conformal coatings, adhesives, sealants, and other materials according to process requirements.
• Conduct acceptance testing and inspection activities using designated testing equipment.
• Interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience as determined by management.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, electronics assembly, aerospace, or related environment.
• Proficiency in soldering and de-soldering electronic components, wires, and assemblies.
• Experience using:
  
  • Hand Tools
  • Power Tools
  • Pneumatic Tools
  • Ohmmeters
  • Electronic Test Equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and assembly documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training and experience with:
  
  • IPC-J-STD-001
  • IPC-A-610
  • IPC-A-620
• Experience assembling aerospace or aircraft-related electronic products.
• Knowledge of aircraft hardware including:
  
  • NAS
  • MS
  • AN fasteners
  • Rivets
  • Screws
  • Bolts
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and understand tolerance requirements.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
