• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that prioritize communication skills, language abilities, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to coordinate a seamless care plan.
• Facilitate educational sessions for patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Play a role in providing inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain consistency of care throughout the recovery journey.
• Keep meticulous and timely records that comply with state and federal guidelines as well as organizational policies.
• Commit to lifelong learning by pursuing continued education and collaborating with peers on best practices.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within first month of employment.
