This full-time, day shift role offers the opportunity to support licensed nurses, physicians, and advanced practice providers by delivering high-quality assistance and ensuring patient safety.

The Medical Assistant operates within their scope to assist with patient care as delegated by clinical staff. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong critical thinking and excellent customer service skills are essential.

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention and safe patient handling.
• Escort patients, obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, verify medications and allergies, and document medical histories accurately and promptly.
• Manage phone communications, route messages, and act as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Communicate test results to patients, assist with medication renewals and authorizations, and administer medications as ordered.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Schedule appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures as directed.
• Complete necessary paperwork, prior authorizations, referrals, and documentation efficiently.
• Maintain supply inventory and ensure exam areas are clean and well-stocked.
• Educate patients on electronic health record access and assist with enrollment.
• Support orientation and training of new medical assistants.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, adaptability, and maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in a medical clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; training provided.

Requires considerable mental focus. Physical demands include lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Exposure to infectious diseases and occasional hostile individuals. Frequent contact with blood and bodily fluids. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
