Interim Director of Finance

Vaco has partnered with a mission‑driven, nonprofit organization that is in search of an experienced Interim Director of Finance to support finance operations during a leadership transition. This role will provide hands‑on accounting and finance leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong nonprofit expertise and the ability to lead the team in a hybrid environment. Job Details Job Title: Interim Director of Finance Location: Phoenix, AZ (hybrid – onsite Monday through Wednesday) Pay Rate: $60 - $75 per hour, DOE Project Duration: 3 months (potential contract‑to‑hire) Responsibilities Oversee all U.S. finance and accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, payroll, treasury, and financial reporting. Lead and manage a team of accountants across the U.S. Partner closely with leadership on financial reporting, compliance, and U.S. GAAP adherence. Ensure compliance with donor restrictions, grants, and U.S. government funding requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA license strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Nonprofit experience strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
