2027 Future Talent Program - Process/Project Engineer - Global Engineering Solutions Intern

Merck's Global Engineering Solutions seeks Junior or Senior engineering students for a 10-12 week internship focused on process and project engineering. Interns will support pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, equipment lifecycle activities, and capital projects across multiple production areas while developing technical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge and data analysis to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and facilities
• Review project design deliverables, technical documentation, and equipment specifications with vendors and teams
• Assist with planning, tracking, and coordinating work to meet schedule, quality, and budget expectations
• Support construction and operational activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Engage with cross-functional teams, vendors, and operations to resolve questions and support project execution

Requirements

• Currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in engineering discipline
• Junior or Senior year status at accredited college or university
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities
• Problem-solving skills with curiosity and systems thinking
• Prior co-op, internship, or technical work experience preferred but not required

Compensation: $39,908 - $111,111
