Role Description The Benefits Administrator is responsible for administering and coordinating employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other university-sponsored plans. This role manages day-to-day benefits operations such as enrollment processing, changes, terminations, and leaves of absence, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and university policies. The Benefits Administrator serves as a primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance and resolving questions about eligibility, coverage, and claims. The role also supports benefits-related audits, data reporting, and vendor relationships, and assists with benefits communication materials, open enrollment activities, and process improvements. This is a full‑time, on‑site role located at Stetson University's DeLand, FL campus. Qualifications Experience administering employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, and retirement plans, with a strong understanding of benefits procedures and best practices. Knowledge of relevant employment and benefits regulations (such as ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, and ACA) and the ability to apply them accurately in daily work. Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration systems, as well as strong skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) for data tracking and reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex benefits information clearly and provide supportive customer service to employees and colleagues. Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, including attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines. Relevant education such as a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Previous experience in higher education or a similarly complex organization is beneficial; professional HR or benefits certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CEBS) are a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Stetson University
