This role is focused on driving business growth through strategic client engagement, new client acquisition, and portfolio expansion. Sitting within Citi's Trade and Working Capital business, you will play a critical role in developing relationships with prospective clients, originating new opportunities, and delivering innovative trade and working capital solutions to some of the largest companies in the sector.This is a client-facing, individual contributor role well suited for a proven hunter with a strong track record of business development, relationship management, and revenue generation.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a sector-focused sales strategy across the Health Care & Consumer industry to drive new client acquisition and portfolio growth.Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects and opportunities sufficient to achieve annual revenue and business development targets.Originate new business opportunities by engaging senior decision-makers and identifying client needs across trade finance and working capital solutions.Establish and deepen relationships with key clients, prospects, industry organizations, and business partners to generate new mandates and commercial opportunities.Partner closely with Corporate Banking, Treasury and Trade Solutions, Product, and Coverage teams to deliver integrated client solutions.Monitor market trends, client priorities, industry developments, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and enhance Citi's market position.Coordinate across internal stakeholders to ensure the effective execution of client mandates and a seamless client experience.Prepare and deliver high-impact client presentations, proposals, and commercial recommendations.Maintain a disciplined sales process, including pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM reporting.Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance functions to ensure all business activities are conducted in accordance with Citi policies and regulatory requirements.Required Qualifications & Skills10+ years of experience in sales, relationship management, client coverage, commercial banking, or transaction banking.Demonstrated success in originating and closing new business opportunities within a corporate client environment.Proven track record of exceeding revenue, acquisition, and portfolio growth targets.Strong business development and prospecting skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple levels of client organizations.Experience operating effectively within a matrixed organization and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver client outcomes.Strong understanding of trade finance, working capital, treasury, or related financial solutions.Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.Ability to assess commercial opportunities and risks while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.Experience covering Health Care, Consumer Products, Retail, Life Sciences, or related sectors.Established network of corporate relationships within the Health Care & Consumer industry.Experience leveraging industry events, conferences, and professional networks as part of a business development strategy.What We OfferAt Citi, you will have the opportunity to drive meaningful growth within one of the world's most globally connected financial institutions.
