IT Support Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States Job Description: We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our growing team in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our company's technology systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a customer-oriented approach. Responsibilities: Provide technical support to employees on hardware, software, and network related issues Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software Monitor and maintain the company's network and servers Perform regular backups and updates to ensure data security and integrity Set up new user accounts and provide training on company systems and software Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technology solutions Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and provide recommendations for improvement Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role Strong technical skills in Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and networking Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 Knowledge of network security and data backup/recovery procedures Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off and holidays Professional development and training opportunities Fun and collaborative work environment If you are a motivated and skilled IT professional looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we want to hear from you!
