Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Position Details

• Primary focus on Elementary Self-Contained classrooms
• Self-contained classrooms have no more than 10 students , allowing for individualized support and instruction
• Additional opportunities available at the secondary (high school) level
• Work alongside a team of educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff to provide high-quality instruction and student support

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
• Foster a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Track student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers

Qualifications

• Active Special Education Licensure required (Alabama or eligible)
• Elementary positions: Must be certified for K–6
• Secondary positions: Must be certified for 6–12
• Previous school-based or self-contained classroom experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
