The Opportunity

This is not a traditional SEO role. You'll sit at the intersection of SEO, AI Search Optimization (AEO), content engineering, authority building, and growth marketing. Your mission: build a repeatable organic acquisition engine that increases Crescendo's visibility, authority, and pipeline across Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Reddit, industry publications, analyst reports, review platforms, and emerging discovery channels. This role reports to the Head of Growth.

What You’ll Own:

• Organic Search & Discovery: Own Crescendo's end-to-end SEO strategy — keyword strategy, topic clusters, technical SEO, and competitive positioning. Identify high-impact search opportunities across CX, AI, contact center, and support automation. Develop search-driven content briefs in partnership with Product Marketing and Content Marketing around launches and strategic initiatives.

• AI Search Optimization (AEO): Build and execute Crescendo's AI search and discoverability strategy across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and emerging platforms. Develop Crescendo's presence across Reddit and niche community forums as a primary AEO channel — these platforms are core source material for AI-generated responses. Brief and partner with Content Marketing on content designed for AI retrieval and citation. Monitor AI search share-of-voice and establish best practices for an AI-first discovery environment.

• Content Engineering: Build scalable, AI-powered content production systems using Claude, ChatGPT, AirOps, and automation workflows. Own the brief, workflow, and distribution infrastructure — partner with Content Marketing on voice and creation. Create repeatable processes that convert existing assets into additional distribution-ready formats.

• Authority & Reputation Building: Drive backlink acquisition, review generation (G2, TrustPilot), and third-party validation strategies. Identify Reddit communities, Slack groups, and industry forums as channels for brand visibility and citation generation. Develop opportunities across analyst relations, guest content, industry publications, and thought leadership placement. Partner with Customer Success and Revenue to build customer advocacy and review volume.

• Deliver 12-Month Success Outcomes: Drive significant growth in non-branded organic visibility and organic-sourced pipeline. Deliver measurable AI search share-of-voice improvement across key discovery platforms. Build scalable content workflow infrastructure operating at consistent publishing velocity. Increase backlinks, reviews, and authority signals so organic growth becomes a documented, measurable contributor to revenue.

What We Are Looking For:

Required:

• 5–7 years in SEO, organic growth, content marketing, or demand generation for B2B SaaS.
• Proven track record building organic growth programs, not just maintaining them.
• Deep understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, and search optimization.
• Strong analytical skills with experience tying performance data to pipeline outcomes.
• Experience managing content workflows and cross-functional content programs.

Preferred:

• AI-native content workflows and content automation experience.
• AEO and AI search optimization experience (AirOps, Profound).
• Community and forum strategy experience (Reddit, Slack communities, industry forums).
• Familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, HubSpot, Webflow, GA4, and Google Search Console.
• Experience in enterprise software, CX, contact center, or adjacent categories.

You'll define and build the organic growth function at one of the fastest-growing companies in AI-powered customer experience — from the ground up, with real ownership and real impact.  This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility of working from home alongside a collaborative, distributed team.
