Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital's switchboard, saved on a disc.Must be able to transport heavy objects, and remain in a stationary position for more than 60 minutes, in order to perform the outlined job duties properly and safely frequently.Ability to manually operate sterilizers 100% of the time.Requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail, with interruptions, while attending to tasks frequently.Must be detailed-oriented and accurate.Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple tasks frequently.Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in routine frequently.Must be able to assess the immediacy of emergency situations 100% of the time.Must be able to detect objects close and farMust be certified as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Central Supply Processing Required andCertification in area of specialty CRCST or Certification in CRCST leadership must be obtained within 3 years of hire date.
