Our client is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to cover a maternity leave. This role is on a contractual basis and will be a hybrid opportunity in Baltimore, Maryland. Responsibilities Collaborates with hiring managers on the overall recruiting process Establishes hiring criteria based on organization structure, job descriptions, requisition intake form, and competencies Provides advice and assistance with job descriptions and postings and consults with Compensation Develops recruiting plans that leverage knowledge of internal and external markets Creates innovative sourcing strategies for passive and diverse candidates through both established and creative methods such as job posting, internal databases, employee referrals, online job boards, and databases, data mining of the internet, social media, career fairs, etc. Leverages prospecting and networking skills to build and maintain a network of contacts and potential candidates Cultivates and maintains relationships with professional associations Develops and implements communication strategies to market the organization to potential applicants Works collaboratively with marketing and communications resources to ensure that applicable media (print materials, online presence, social media, etc.) reflect and convey an appropriate image for current and future employees Collaborates with external recruitment firms for retained or contingent searches. This includes researching and screening for appropriate firms, supporting firm selection, facilitating procurement of firms through appropriate processes, and overseeing and managing the work of the firm to ensure deliverables are achieved Ensures that diverse pools of talent are identified and leveraged for candidate sourcing and ensures that diverse slates of candidates are presented to hiring managers Advises senior management on trends and opportunities identified in seeking diverse candidate pools Manages and/or coordinates selection procedures including applicant tracking, interviewing, assessing, reference checking, and background checking Reviews and filters applications (online applications, resumes, and cover letters) for minimum qualifications Screens and interviews viable (or potential) applicants for functional competence, applicable background, relevant skills, and individual goals Assists hiring managers in the evaluation of applicants’ qualifications and selection of the most qualified candidates Advises on effective candidate assessment and interview techniques including use of behavioral-based interview questions Facilitates and oversees search panels when employed in the evaluation and selection of candidates Collaborates with hiring managers and compensation to develop appropriate employment offers and drafts offer letters Ensures coordination of post‑offer pre‑employment activities Ensures a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process Maintains effective communication and coordination with all parties involved to engage promising candidates and create the right impression of the organization Ensures that recruiting and employment practices are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local laws Partners with HR colleagues and others in the administration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of an effective recruitment and onboarding program for new employees Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or other related field. A degree in a specialty area of recruiting (e.g., Nursing, IT, etc.) may also be considered, if applicable. Three years of related experience that demonstrates a progressive and proactive approach to the recruitment of talent, and working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Works extensively with the web, databases, spreadsheets, Applicant Tracking System, Microsoft Office, and electronic mail. Prioritizes multiple responsibilities and collaborates effectively with others. Demonstrates creative and resourceful skills to handle various HR issues and concerns while maintaining confidentiality. Solves problems and resolves conflicts; researches, analyzes, and interprets data. Communicates well verbally and in writing. Demonstrates strong initiative and energy, as well as a cooperative spirit. Special Skills and Knowledge Utilizes strong influencing and negotiation skills to provide appropriate counsel and advice to stakeholders and colleagues. Develops recruitment strategies using creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness. Strong organizational, analytical, critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, judgment, conflict resolution, and decision‑making skills. Maintains confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Is resourceful and works independently. Proficiency with the internet, databases, Microsoft Office, job boards, social media, applicant tracking systems, and electronic mail. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Successful experience sourcing active and passive candidates. Can interact effectively with all levels of management and employees, as well as with the candidate population. Handles various HR issues and concerns effectively while maintaining privacy. Ability to research, analyze, and interpret data. Demonstrates strong initiative and energy, as well as a cooperative spirit. #J-18808-Ljbffr
