Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Athletic Edge Physiotherapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, California. You will be responsible for creating personalized rehabilitation plans and guiding patients through their journey to recovery.

Work Environment

Our facility is designed to promote healing and recovery, equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and equipment. The on-site environment fosters collaboration among health care professionals, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care. In this role, you will interact closely with fellow therapists, medical staff, and patients in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, accommodating a manageable patient volume of 1-2 patients per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of new patients to gather detailed information regarding their medical history, physical capabilities, and personal rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans utilizing manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at enhancing recovery and improving functional movement.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress during sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Instruct patients on appropriate home exercise programs, lifestyle adjustments, and ergonomic modifications to facilitate continued recovery outside of therapy sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized therapy environment.
• Continuously update knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in orthopedic physical therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with outpatient individuals suffering from a range of orthopedic injuries and conditions, such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Your empathy and understanding will play a pivotal role in motivating patients through their recovery journey, ensuring that you align treatment objectives with their personal goals and lifestyle needs.

Qualifications

• A valid California state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
• Outstanding manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing therapeutic exercise regimens.
• Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with diverse patient populations.
• Strong collaborative skills, enabling you to work effectively within a team setting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) will be considered an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is preferred, although motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• A proven ability to treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions and achieve successful patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
