Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Sacramento, where you will interact daily with patients, interdisciplinary teams, and healthcare providers. With a full-time schedule averaging 40 hours per week, including variable weekends, our work environment promotes collaboration and innovation. Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Physical Therapist will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Consulting with healthcare providers about each patient's continuum of care to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
• Implementing and modifying treatment protocols based on patient progress, clinical findings, and adherence to best practices in documentation.
• Educating patients and their families about rehabilitation processes and encouraging adherence to treatment regimens.
• Engaging in community outreach initiatives, conducting quality improvement activities, and participating in the supervision of support staff, such as Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs).
• Maintaining up-to-date patient records and communicating findings with the healthcare team, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. Your treatments will be tailored to clients of all ages, ensuring that you adjust your approach based on the unique needs of each patient, fostering a supportive and inclusive healthcare environment.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current, active State License to practice Physical Therapy in California.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and other healthcare providers.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience in handling complex cases in orthopedic rehabilitation. Familiarity with evidence-based practices, experience with treatment planning, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are highly valued. Prior involvement in medical education through mentoring or training would also be advantageous.
