Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses using appropriate clinical tools, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to continually evaluate patient progress, ensuring effective mental health interventions aligned with their diagnoses.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment records and reports, in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

• Collaborate with patients and families to create holistic treatment plans that incorporate their needs, goals, and preferences.

• Deliver educational resources and mentoring to students, interns, and volunteers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

• Work in a team-centered approach to achieve shared goals, embracing the opportunities for peer mentoring and clinical collaboration.

• Facilitate referrals and maintain effective communication with external providers to ensure patients access comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve children, adolescents, and families dealing with the psychological impacts of cancer diagnoses. This role requires a sensitive approach to understanding the unique challenges these patients face, enabling you to provide empathetic and effective therapy that addresses their emotional and psychological needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
