Marketing Specialist

RMS International is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and creatively minded Marketing Specialist to serve as the central point of coordination for the company's marketing efforts. This person will be the bridge between internal leadership and RMS's outsourced marketing partner, Bonfire, ensuring projects move efficiently, deadlines are met, and the brand is consistently represented across all channels.

This is a team-of-one role. The right person can operate independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and keep things advancing without needing constant direction. They'll be comfortable owning the day-to-day execution of marketing while asking for input at the right moments and knowing when to loop leadership in.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between RMS leadership and Bonfire (outsourced marketing agency)
• Own communication flow to ensure projects move efficiently and expectations are clear on both sides
• Hold Bonfire accountable to deadlines, deliverables, and the broader marketing calendar
• Organize marketing priorities, timelines, approvals, and follow-ups across all active initiatives
• Proactively identify bottlenecks or missed deadlines and drive resolution before they elevate

Social Media Management & Campaign Execution

• Own and maintain a consistent social media content calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and the RMS website
• Coordinate product launch social content timed to when products hit retail shelves
• Plan and execute influencer campaigns and manage related deliverables
• Ensure all social content aligns with brand direction and business priorities
• Partner with Bonfire on content creation while maintaining internal quality control

Brand Building & Communications

• Support broader brand-building initiatives across RMS's portfolio
• Coordinate press releases and external-facing brand communications
• Ensure marketing messaging remains consistent across all touchpoints
• Help amplify product launches, brand moments, and company news through appropriate channels

Website & Digital Content

• Keep the RMS website current, relevant, and reflective of the brand
• Coordinate content updates in partnership with internal teams and/or Bonfire
• Ensure digital content supports e-commerce, campaigns, and general brand needs

Photography & Asset Management

• Coordinate with RMS's photographer to ensure all production items are photographed
• Maintain an organized, catalogued library of product photography and marketing assets accessible for e-commerce, social, sales, and digital use
• Identify gaps in visual assets and proactively schedule shoots or coordinate asset creation
• Monitor consumer trends, competitor activity, and relevant market insights
• Share observations that support marketing direction, product positioning, and brand relevance
• Provide marketing support to the sales team where needed (collateral, campaign tie-ins, launch support)
• Collaborate with creative, sales, product development, and leadership to keep initiatives aligned

Qualifications

Required:

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in marketing, brand marketing, social media management, or marketing operations
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience working with and managing external agencies or vendors
• Strong communication, follow-through, and organizational skills
• Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of projects from kickoff through execution
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Interest in or passion for consumer products, toys, entertainment, and/or pop culture

Preferred (not required):

• Experience with influencer campaigns or influencer relationship management
• Experience supporting or coordinating marketing events
• Experience with website content management (CMS platforms)
• Familiarity with trend analysis, competitive monitoring, or consumer insights
• Experience with digital asset management and photography coordination

What We're Looking For

This person should bring enough experience to operate with confidence and good judgment, but should still be excited to be hands‑on in the work every day. We are not looking for a VP-level strategist or a people manager. We are also not looking for someone fresh out of school who needs heavy guidance.

• Is comfortable being the sole internal marketing person and thrives with that ownership
• Can manage an external agency relationship with professionalism and accountability

Reporting & Team Structure

This role reports directly to the Chief Creative Officer and will collaborate closely with the COO and cross-functional teams. Day‑to‑day, this person will be the internal owner of all marketing coordination and the primary point of contact for Bonfire Studios, our marketing vendor.
