Fund Accountant

Bonaccord Capital Partners (“BCP”) is a private equity firm focused on acquiring non‑control equity interests in mid‑market private markets sponsors, including private equity, private credit, real estate, and real assets. BCP is seeking a Fund Accountant to support the accounting, reporting, and operational oversight of its investment funds. In this position, the Fund Accountant will work directly with the Fund Controllers and in close coordination with the Fund Finance & Operations team to support fund‑level accounting and investor operations. The Fund Accountant is responsible for reviewing and validating fund financial statements, reporting workpapers, allocation methodologies, and fee calculations prepared by third‑party administrators, as well as supporting investor‑level tracking and operational processes. This role provides meaningful exposure to fund‑level accounting, investor reporting, and coordination with internal teams and external service providers, including fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors. The role requires a strong foundational understanding of fund accounting principles and the ability to work independently with sensitive financial data. Role and Responsibilities Review quarterly and annual fund financials from third‑party administrators for accuracy and U.S. GAAP compliance. Validate fund accounting workpapers, capital activity, and investor allocations. Review capital call, distribution, and management fee calculations, including complex fee structures. Support audit and tax processes, including preparing schedules and responding to requests. Review distribution waterfalls and allocation methodologies to ensure alignment with LPAs and side letters. Track and analyze fund expenses, ensuring proper classification and allocation across entities. Maintain investor data (commitments, contributions, distributions, and fee terms) and support onboarding. Assist with investor reporting and respond to internal information requests. Will work closely with internal and external partners (e.g. auditors, counsel, tax administrator, etc). Collaborate cross‑functionally and support process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and special projects. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of progressive, relevant work experience in Big Four public accounting, fund accounting, or a similar role. Exposure to investment companies such as private equity, private credit, or other private markets strategies strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated experience in allocation methodologies. Highly organized with strict attention to detail. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); must have advanced Excel skills The duties and responsibilities described above are not comprehensive and additional tasks will be assigned.
