As a mental health counselor at St Paul Behavioral Health Center, you will work in a fully remote telehealth setting, offering you the flexibility to manage your time effectively while delivering support to those in need. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ psychological needs, history, and current challenges, thus enabling you to develop effective and individualized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, in one-on-one sessions and group therapy formats.

• Lead psychoeducational support groups that foster discussion and connection among participants, focusing on common mental health concerns.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care tailored to each patient’s unique situation.

• Provide crisis intervention services to assist patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and stabilization.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment processes, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in adherence to ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance your practice and share best practices with peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with a diverse range of clients seeking help for common mental health issues, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and relational challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrable knowledge of mental health disorders and the principles of effective treatment modalities.

• Proven capability in conducting comprehensive interviews, assessments, and crafting tailored treatment plans.

• Experience working in diverse therapeutic settings including individual and group therapies.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, underscoring a commitment to boundary respect and ethical practice.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and modern therapeutic tools to enhance patient care.

• Ability to function effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
